the members of Pelican Rico have been making music together in one way, shape, or form for 5 years now. Jake Trisch, Bonner Butler, and Matt Shearon cut their teeth playing dive bars, party buses, and whatever stage they could find. 

As they evolved, they drifted away from playing covers, backing up other singers, and grew into a sound reminiscent of the 90's rock they grew up with. High energy, big hooks, and tight harmonies. 

Pelican Rico is now diving head first into becoming a staple Austin rock band. Emerging from recording their first full length record at the legendary 512 studios in May 2026, Pelican Rico is ready to bring high energy, infectious tunes, and a professional approach gained from combined decades of experience.
